This Fall Quarter has started off with a bang!
Our first meeting was Monday October 1st and we had guest speaker Donald Young, gaucho alumni and Vice President of Salas O'Brien. Sales O'Brien is an "energy planning firm positioned to design expertise for utility infrastructure with a focus on Mechanical, Electrical, and Telecommunications systems complemented by architecture services."
During the meeting Mr. Young shared his experience as a Biology major here at UCSB, getting accepted to medical school and turn it down to start a career in electrical engineering. He also described what Sales O'Brien was and answered our questions. The meeting was a great start with about 40 members and refreshments.
Our second meeting was Monday October 15th and we had a Panel of local SB-Area Doctors come and share their experiences. We had 3 doctors come and speak about their experiences in undergrad, medical school and actually working in their respected fields. Since most of our members are biology and bio-chem majors, this meeting was not only very informative but exciting for everyone.
Our next meeting will take place October 29th in South
